We checked in to our room at Bullwinkles Rustic Lodge in Poplar Bluff after a long day of travelling. the housekeeping had done a commendable job as our room was clean and cozy, with a private bathroom boasting a deep bathtub and fresh towels that smelled delightful. the Moose-themed decor throughout the lodge was charming, adding a whimsical touch to the rustic ambiance. the staff greeted us warmly upon arrival, making us feel right at home. The room we were allocated had no stairs to navigate, which was a relief after a tiring journey. We appreciated the provisions of air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a coffee machine in our room, ensuring our comfort and entertainment needs were met. the proximity to the lake, just a 10-minute drive away, made it convenient for us to indulge in our favorite activity of sailing, while also being close enough to Poplar Bluff for a quick dinner outing. Although we didn't have the chance to experience the bar, it looked inviting and well-appointed. the pet-friendly policy with a nominal fee was a bonus for us as we often travel with our furry companion. Overall, Bullwinkles Rustic Lodge provided us with a comfortable and enjoyable stay, meeting our needs for a one-night visit to Poplar Bluff. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we left feeling content and refreshed.
